 nice tree to left of the front porch
 fenced backyard
 Very high ceilings
 lots of charm
 very interesting wood floors
 Large kitchen
 Fully Drylock painted basement floor and walls
 classic 2-over-1 windows in kitchen
 larger 1-over-1 windows in much of the house
 large open living room
 Larger open room above garage
 Fun low-ceilinged room opens to staircase
 exterior looks to be in very good condition

Cons

 Window air conditioning
 Kitchen appliances are a bit dated
 older windows
 low header in stairwell to basement
 Wood floors in rough shape

How to spend $12,000

Q:

If you were going to live here and received a $12,000 gift card, good for any product or service, what would you repair, upgrade or add? Why?

A:Add handrail going from kitchen to basement. Wood floors are interesting as they are, but they are in rough shape. I’m not sure whether they can be refinished or not. If yes, doing so would make this key asset of the house shine!

I have mixed feelings about this house. Lots of of character, (potentially, with refinishing) beautiful floors, a front porch, good-sized kitchen. However, I wonder if the house is cold or expensive to heat in the winter, given older large widows, etc. The staircase to the basement (laundry) with a low point is another concern.
