How to spend $12,000
Q:
If you were going to live here and received a $12,000 gift card, good for any product or service, what would you repair, upgrade or add? Why?
A:This house needs a LOT of work, but I’d start by removing carpets and then hire an electrician to make sure wiring is safe and up to code (I didn’t see anything suggesting any problems, but it’s an older house…). Next, hire an engineer or architect to identify what walls are structural and which can easily be removed. Then I’d repaint and then live in the house for 6 months and think about what to change.
